Capri J. Wroten is an advocate for progressive and innovative concepts to support Black and minority students' pathways through higher education. As a native of the east-side of Chicago, Wroten knows the education support gaps for Black students. She has dedicated her educational journey and leadership style to think about the students beginning this new chapter in their lives who may be unfamiliar with having to navigate through the college experience.

 

In 2019, Wroten graduated from Southern Illinois University Edwardsville with her Bachelor of Science degree in Business Administration and is currently completing a master of science education degree through the College Student Personnel Administration program. Providing strategic concepts to new opportunities for college students' success has been the line of work for Wroten for the past four years.

She hopes that by using her voice to speak on past experiences through her college journey, she'll guide the next generation of college students. We have highs and lows throughout the transition to adulthood, and we should speak our truth. Wroten is a proud member of Sigma Gamma Rho Sorority, Incorporated.
